The Dark Knight Rises

A few days ago, this is what I said ,“Markets plummet, countries come crashing down, jobs decrease, but ‘the dark knight rises’, always…..”

After watching the movie, I believe that the Dark Knight NEVER EVER disappoints, he always lives upto his image. May His Soul Rest in Peace, but this movie didn’t need a Heath Ledger!! Though Joker overshadowed Batman in the ‘The Dark Knight’, this movie was totally about the Caped Crusader himself.

After watching this movie, I must say ‘In Nolan, We Trust’!!! The guy knew he had a huge responsibility towards his fans, and with such amazing prequels such as ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’, he must be under tremendous pressure to deliver a movie that can equal what he did in his prequels. And I must say, though difficult, he more that succeeded by giving us a movie with high emotional content and super classy effects…

Casted as a murderous evil shadow, Bruce Wayne hangs his boots of being the Righteous Henchman (maim, not kill!!) for the City of Gotham and leads a life of a recluse. Gotham itself is complacent about its security as there has been a sharp drop in organized crime. But it is a lull before a storm…..

And that storm is BANE (Tom Hardy)………

Effective in his loud bass like voice (when he speaks, it’s sort of creepy!!), with a hideous protruding gas mask covering his face, awesome fighting prowess- he fights like a bull, carrying along with him the momentum and quick reflexes. The way he takes control of the entire Gotham city is awesome……

The clash between Batman and Bane is worth every penny…

The female leads of the movie are sexy and svelte. Both Anne Hathaway (Selena or the Cat Woman!!) and Marion Cotillard (as Miranda) did their part extremely well (if I mention anything further, it would be considered as a SPOILER!!)…

Gary Oldman (as Commissioner Gordon), Morgan Freeman (as Fox) and Michael Caine (as Alfred) essayed their roles perfectly.

A special mention here of Joseph Gordon-Levitt (as Blake, a.k.a…?!!!), watch out for this character- he has larger role to play…

But more than anything, it’s Christian Bale who takes away the cake as the Batman. This is THE BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE SERIES!!! And Christian Bale has a very large part in making this blockbuster an Epic…….

The Batman rules and I ask the other next-door friendly superheroes (Spiderman, Ironman, Hulk, etc.) to take a bow…

Christopher Nolan– Respect!!!!! For me- he is in the same league as Steven Spielberg and James Cameron. And I must say, he has consistently given us some extremely good movies (Best of luck for ‘Man of Steel’)…

The Batman series have been a helluva ride…….

Saddened by the prospect that it’s over…

But I sense a new beginning at the horizon, from ash will rise the Phoenix…..

Lastly, I have but one thing to say, “When Gotham is in ashes…You’ll have my permission to die.”
