Omdi the lomdi- part 2

“Well, I am tired of doing this job.” Soham said, with a clip on his nose.

“So am I.” Vishwam and Harsh cried.

Only Om was working diligently in picking up the muck. He felt that it was his mission to save the world and also to remove the curse on his family. Vismay has explained that if they live in their own universe, it would arouse suspicion from the elders. So if they went in the already destructed world and gather the whole excreta, then they would lose no time. He explained something about time-space relationship.

The time taken in that universe to complete the mission would be equivalent to half a microsecond in our own universe. Om had asked Vismay, why he could not come? Vismay had replied that only the younger generation can relieve the family from the accursed curse. He regretted that he was not a child anymore. He told that if Om wanted any proof, that key to another cosmic universe would only in the hand of one of the youngest member, and that happened to be him.

The girls were carrying forward the task of conversion, a task no less gooey.

Air whirled around his white sleeveless shirt. He saw that the other three were doing the task of filling the guns with the necessary carbide. Some were short ranged guns, while other was long ranged, depending on the usage. He could see the shovel in his hands, its silvery shine converting into a peculiar yellowish tinge of the goo which he had never seen before. There was a small hut on the periphery of the dump yard, and a motor car, which had no wheels. Om felt that the fuel would be ample for the attack which they were going to make. He stood up.

Vishwam was looking at him. He was waving his hands. Om could not understand what he was talking about as they were separated by far distance, so he decided to go near him. He hauled up the container with the handle, it was still heavy for his small body, but it was more than settled by his determination to carry forward the task.

As he approached near them, Soham said “Dhwani had hit upon the idea of how to find these ants.”

Om looked questioningly.

Of course they resented that their smaller brother happened to be their boss, but Vismay has forewarned that as he was destined to officially handle the task, he must be the leader, as he was already chosen by the aliens in heaven, so they can’t question their decision. He also told that if they went against the decision of the gods then they, in their seething anger, would mix some chemicals in the clouds filling their town with excessive non-seasonal rain water.

Dhwani explained “The whole mission as such concerns ants. So if we spread sugar, then they would naturally be attracted, and would then take back to their hole. Our task is to destroy them, we would do so, when we reach there in our flying suits way out of their grasp, so no harm can come our way.”

“It’s a good plan, but way to simple.”

Dhwani shrugged. “It’s the only plan.”

“I know. But this mission will not be so simple. I have a gut feeling about this, someone is behind this farce.”

“They look simple ants to me.” Zankar said.

“You haven’t seen the size, they were huge bulky giants.”

“Well they may have that type of species.”

“Capable of going out of black hole and into our universe, on their own?”

“Well, they may be intelligent species in this part of the world.”

“Attacking the present human beings in the most brutal way possible?”

“Then, go and drink oil. Let’s just go and finish the job.” Zankar said angrily.

“You know the plan of attack?” Vishwam asked everybody.

“Yah, we do.” They all groaned condescendingly.

“Well, then lets rumage the houses and find te sugar, and we wait and watch as the ants take us back to their homes.”

“Aye, aye.”

At that moment, Om’s stomach rumbled.

Dhwani replied grimly “It would be helpful for using the fart flier in the forthcoming onslaught.”

                                                                           ***********

The ant hole was to be seen no where. They stood in a huge expanse of lush green clearing surrounded by large thick brown hills from all the sides. The piece of shit was jittering furiously; it meant that they happened to be more near than the safest possible distance. There was no turning back. The ants suddenly went away in different directions. It was highly confusing. They were not much bigger than ordinary ants.

It was a warm night, a gooey salty smell emanated from somewhere, something like a huge pile of dropping.

“Stay alert, they could be anywhere.” Om said that with horrid anticipation. He did not doubt the attack of the ants; that view was fearful enough to make anyone’s spine chilled. What he doubted was their way of attack, he happened to have not noticed their size or their way of attack as they rampaged through a full blown metropolis gulping down hordes of lives.

“Who are they, these minute creatures, they can be killed by a single bottle of pesticide.” Zankar said mockingly.

“We must go and find their burrows.” Om said urgently.

“I have no interest in this job, how could these tiny creatures destroy the planet? It looks more a case of world war than an ant invasion.” Vishwam remarked.

“So you disbelieve me, haven’t you seen blood and sulphuric acid on this planet. Do you think that your elder brother is stupid, what about that prophecy.” That shut everyone up. They tried searching the trail back, but it suddenly disappeared. They decided to stay there for a while.

They all were standing in the same stance. Harsh and Soham standing with bulky guns in their hands, Zankar with her motorized bow and arrow, with resulted in increase in speed of the arrow, whose tip was dipped in the reactive shit. Dhwani had two compact jet guns in both her hands. Vishwam had squirt guns in his hands, and the tank connected to it was slung on his shoulders attached with the suit. Om had two energy blowers powered by the shit. Its impact would crush anyone’s bones. They all had worn full body armour, to protect their bodies from sulphuric acid.

“There is nothing here.” Harsh said after what seemed an eternity of time.

“Hell, they might have gone some place else.” Soham said.

Even before he could complete his sentence the earth beneath his legs began to shake.

“What is happening?” Om asked being scared a little.

“Can it be an earth quake of all things?” Vishwam inquired wearily.

Sprays of colourless liquid began to ooze out of the surrounding hills.

“What the hell?” Zankar said, uncomprehending the situation around.

“BACK IN AIR, BACK IN AIR JUST NOW.” Om shouted

They noticed the urgency in his voice and they all thrust themselves into the sky. Immediately afterwards, they could see the hills writhing as if a cobra would when it amassed a huge prey within. The soil of the hill gave ways to giant tube like structures. They tried to move out of the way of the jet of the spray. They now became extremely terrified, because the things that resembled hills were not actually hills; they were gigantic ant holes and the tube like structures were the mouths of those vile ants squirting out the chemical of death.
